About Dr. Bubon

Dr. Michael Bubon's path to orthodontics started where many great stories in the field begin: as a patient. His own experience with braces as a kid sparked a fascination that carried him to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, where he earned his orthodontic degree.

In 1993, Dr. Bubon returned to the Midwest and founded Bubon Orthodontics. What started as a single practice has grown into one of the largest privately owned orthodontic practices in the country. Through that growth, the culture has stayed the same. Staff members regularly celebrate 10, 15 and even 20-year milestones with the practice, and Metro Parent Magazine has recognized Bubon Orthodontics as one of the "Best Places to Work."

Dr. Bubon's influence extends well beyond the clinic. He has contributed to international orthodontic journals and lectured worldwide on topics ranging from simplified treatment approaches to complex cases, pre-teen orthodontics, TMJ therapy and non-extraction treatment. His clinical work has been recognized with the "Clinician of the Year" award from the American Association of Functional Orthodontists and the title of "Master Instructor" through the International Association of Orthodontics.
