The Bubon Orthodontics Smile Squad is designed for children who have had an early orthodontic evaluation but are not yet ready for treatment. Rather than waiting passively, Smile Squad gives children a sense of belonging and purpose during important growth years.
It helps families understand that orthodontic care does not always start with braces. Sometimes, the most responsible care is observation.
Why Smile Squad Exists
Every Child Grows Differently
Some children are ready for orthodontic treatment early. Many are not.
The Smile Squad was created to support children during this in-between stage by making orthodontic monitoring feel intentional, positive and reassuring. It helps children feel involved and confident while giving parents clarity and peace of mind.
The goal is not to rush treatment. The goal is to be ready at the right time.
The Smile Squad is typically recommended for children ages seven to ten who:
- Have completed an early orthodontic evaluation
- Are not ready for treatment yet Benefit from ongoing growth monitoring
- Would benefit from early familiarity with orthodontic care
Enrollment is recommended by an orthodontist after an evaluation.
How it Works
Orthodontic Care When They Need It
Early Evaluation
Your child receives an orthodontic evaluation, often around age seven or earlier.
Observation Periods
If treatment is not needed yet, observation may be recommended.
Smile Squad Enrollment
Children are welcomed into the Smile Squad during observation.
Ongoing Monitoring
Growth and development are monitored through scheduled visits.
Transition to Treatment
When the timing is right, Smile Squad members transition seamlessly into active orthodontic treatment.
